S. Tipton Studio delivered a space that balances privacy, wellness and collaboration as Marvell ramps up global growth
Marvell Technology didn’t just need a new office in Austin. It needed a space that could evolve as quickly as the company itself. With headcount growing beyond projections and teams returning to the office full-time, the semiconductor leader was outgrowing its footprint before construction even began.
That’s where S. Tipton Studio came in.
Tasked with reimagining an inherited space to better align with Marvell’s brand and culture, the S. Tipton Studio team moved quickly to deliver more than just square footage, crafting a workplace tailored to the company’s evolving needs.
The result is a 14,700-square-foot office that balances confidentiality and connection, setting the tone for how Marvell will approach workplace design moving forward.
To bring visual ideas to life, the team leaned into early experimentation, using AI-generated imagery to interpret abstract brand guidelines and translate them into a grounded, regionally inspired design. The firm also worked closely with Marvell’s IT, facilities and technology groups to ensure the space didn’t just look good — it worked seamlessly for the people inside it.
Highlights of the space include:
- A vibrant pantry and kitchen with flexible seating to encourage collaboration and provide alternative workspaces
- Enhanced acoustics designed to support larger numbers of people in the office
- Biophilia and curated artwork that soften the environment and elevate the overall experience
- Built-in flexibility, allowing meeting rooms to convert easily into private offices as needs change
The success of the Austin office marked the start of a strong global partnership with Marvell, one that has since grown to include more than a dozen projects worldwide. As a trusted design resource, S. Tipton Studio continues to help Marvell execute and refine its workplace guidelines — keeping employee well-being as the guiding north star.
